The Abu Dhabi Police have called on owners and operators of buses transporting workers 'with a capacity of 50 passengers and above' to adhere to and alert drivers to abide by the decision that prohibits these vehicles from entering or moving inside Abu Dhabi Island during morning rush time.
The police pointed out that the entrances, including Sheikh Zayed Bridge, Sheikh Khalifa Bridge, Mussafah Bridge and Maqta Bridge are not allowed to use during morning rush hours only by large buses transporting workers.
The step is part of the efforts aimed at ensuring smooth traffic and reducing accidents, the police added.
The Directorate of Traffic and Patrols explained that the morning peak hours for the large buses transporting workers start at 6:30 am and continue until 9;00 am.
It urges drivers of large buses transporting workers to abide by the rules and not to move during the specified periods, stressing that all roads are controlled by smart systems to monitor any violation.
