The first day of early voting for the 2023 Federal National Council (FNC) elections, which lasts for two days, witnessed a large turnout of male and female voters in all electoral centres across the UAE, to give their votes and participate in the elections.
The Early voting started on Wednesday, and will continue until Thursday, October 5, through hybrid voting, that is, via remote voting, whether inside or outside the UAE, using the “Sharek” smart app and the voting link in the National Elections Commission’s smart app and its website (www.uaenec.ae), or through electronic voting in 9 electoral centres.
The National Elections Committee indicated that remote voting will be available 24 hours a day, starting as of 9.00am on Wednesday until 8.00pm on Saturday, October 7, UAE time, while the time period for early voting in the nine approved election centres will be from 9.00am to 6.00pm daily.
The Committee has allocated 9 election centres for early voting around the UAE, including: Abu Dhabi Energy Centre in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain Convention Centre in Al Ain, Madinat Zayed Wedding Hall in Al Dhafra, Al Multaqa Hall in Dubai World Trade Centre in Dubai, Sharjah Cultural Chess Club, and Fujairah Centre for exhibitions, the Sheikh Zayed Hall for Conferences and Exhibitions at Ajman University, Al Ittihad Hall for Events in Umm Al Quwain, and the Expo Centre in Ras Al Khaimah.
