Chancellor Essam Issa Al Humaidan, Attorney General of Dubai, on Thursday issued a decision to prevent the circulation or publication of any information or photos related to the death of a child in the seventh grade, taking into account the circumstances and feelings of the deceased’s family.
The ban covers all print, audio-visual and social media platforms, whether by any natural or legal persons.
The decision also prohibits expressing an opinion or commenting on the incident until a further notice.
The decision comes after false information about the incident had been circulated on social media platforms.
The Attorney General warned that such matters raise concern and confusion in society and expose anyone who publishes or circulates them to legal accountability.
