VIDEO: Sheikh Mohammed pays rich tributes to his father Sheikh Rashid

Commemorating anniversary of the late Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Friday took to X platform, formerly Twitter saying that his people will remain remembering him, praying for him and asking Allah to bestow His mercy on him as long as his impact, work and city that loves him remain.

His Highness wrote on the X platform, “May God Have mercy on my father and the father of Dubai, Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum. May God Have mercy on those who founded the homelands, established the civilization and built the nation.”

He added, “Since his passing away, 33 years ago, during which we continued his march and fulfilled his insightful commandments. We set out to reach skylines led by his foundations.”

“His people will remain remembering him, praying for him and asking Allah to bestow His mercy on him as long as his impact, work and city that loves him remain. May Allah rest his soul in eternal peace and grant him the highest place in the Paradise,” Sheikh Mohammed added.

His Highness also posted a picture of him with the late Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, with a comment on it «Rashid. You, my father, have in my heart a love as large as the homeland, may God bestow His mercy on you.”

Vision & Ambitions

In the same context, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, said that the late Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, may God have mercy on him, will remain present in all details of the Emirate of Dubai and its achievements.

He also said on the X platform, “Dubai and the UAE bid farewell to the late Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, 33 years ago. He was Sheikh Zayed's partner in founding the Union, the builder of Dubai and the planner of its renaissance. He is our role model in work and sincerity, the man of the vision and ambitions that do not know the impossible.”

“Rashid Bin Saeed, you will remain present in every detail of Dubai and its achievements,” Sheikh Hamdan added.
