The Aviation Department at the Royal Oman Police carried out a rescue operation for an Emirati woman who fell from a mountain in the Sultanate of Oman on Friday.
She was reportedly practising mountaineering in Al Jabal Al Akhdar state in the interior region before she fell from the mountain.
The woman who was critically wounded was airlifted by a helicopter to Nizwa Hospital.
The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority said that the rescue teams of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Department in Al Dakhiliya Governorate received a report stating that a woman fell from a mountain in Al Jabal Al Akhdar, where the teams were able to find and provide her with medical care.
The air ambulance then transferred her to the hospital, as her condition was serious.
A number of people in the area cared for the Emirati woman as soon as they learned of the accident. They provided her with first aid and stayed with her until the arrival of the air ambulance.
