Abu Dhabi Court of Family, Civil and Administrative Cases obligated the driver and owner of a vehicle to pay Dhs30,000 to the owner of another vehicle after the driver caused damage to the latter’s vehicle due to a traffic accident.
The owner of the damaged vehicle filed a lawsuit against the owner of the vehicle which caused the accident, and its driver, requesting that they be jointly obligated to pay her Dhs34,000 and Dhs20,000, in compensation, as well as obligating them to pay fees and expenses of the lawsuit and the lawyer’s fees.
The appellant attached to her lawsuit copies of invoices, an accident report, and copies of other documents.
The court explained that the expert’s report and the appellees’ confession to their responsibility for the accident proved the appellant’s right to her claims and a financial compensation for the damages she incurred, as according to the papers and reports which proved that she paid Dhs24,265 to repair her car, and then the court obligated the appellees to pay the appellant Dhs30,000.
