A sea of ‘cotton candy clouds’ filled the skies over UAE on Monday afternoon much to the surprise of citizens and residents in the Emirate.
The weather is UAE in general is getting cooler as the winter season approaches.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said on Monday, “A chance of convective cloud formation associated with rainfall and fresh wind with a speed of 40 km/hr over some Eastern, coastal areas, and islands from 11:30 until 20:00 Monday 30/10/2023.”
The weather body also said, “The lowest temperature recorded over the country on Monday was 15.8°C in Jais Mountain (Ras Al Khaimah) at 00:30 UAE Local time.”
The UAE authorities called on motorists to be cautious due to the rainy weather conditions and to abide by the varying speed limits as shown in the electronic traffic signs. Monday’s weather is expected to be partly cloudy at times with a chance for cumulus clouds to form and for rains to fall on some coastal and western areas.
Light to moderate northeasterly to northwesterly winds will blow, turning to active and sand-stirring at times.
Tuesday’s weather is expected to be partly cloudy at times with a chance for some cumulus clouds to form, accompanied by rains on some eastern and western areas. Light to moderate northwesterly and northeasterly winds will blow, turning to active at times.
Wednesday’s weather is expected to be partly cloudy at times, with a chance for some cumulus clouds to form, accompanied by rains on some eastern and western areas. Light to moderate southeasterly to northwesterly and northeasterly winds will blow, turning to active at times.
