More than 100 people were killed and hundreds others were wounded in an Israeli raid targeting the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip, on Tuesday, according to Palestinian Health Ministry.
The Ministry of Interior in Gaza stated that the initial number of victims of the Israeli bombing was estimated at about 400 dead and wounded, noting that most of them were women and children.
It indicated that Israel destroyed an entire residential neighborhood in the middle of the Jabalia camp, which it said was hit with six bombs, each weighing with a tonne of explosives, in what the Gaza Ministry of Health described as “genocide” in the northern Gaza Strip.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Ashraf Al-Qudra, said in press statements that the number of casualties in the Jabalia camp is large and may be close to the number of victims in the bombing that targeted the Baptist Hospital.
He added, "We are trying to rescue largest number of wounded people," warning that there is no longer a single bed available to treat the wounded as a result of the collapse of hospitals."
He continued: “Medical teams do not have the treatment supplies because Israel prevents their entry. The lack of medical supplies affects the number of wounded people being rescued.”
