UAE activates alternative system for end-of-service gratuity

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) announced the activation of an alternative system for end-of-service gratuity for workers in the country. This was announced by the Minister Abdulrahman Al Awar during a media briefing held in Dubai.

Subscription to the system is optional for both citizens and expatriates, Al Awar said. "When subscribing to the alternative system, the employer may involve all workers, select workers who will be subscribed to the system, or select their occupational categories or levels for them,” Al Awar said.
