Dar Al Khaleej news, media and publishing group celebrated the UAE Flag Day on Friday November 3.
The UAE’s flag is raised and flutters high above the headquarters of ministries and official bodies, while all buildings will be decorated with the colours of the flag.
The Flag Day is also an occasion in which we remember with reverence and respect the efforts of the founding fathers, who laid the foundations for the establishment of the UAE.
There are more than 200 nationalities living and working in the UAE and there is no doubt that the UAE Flag Day is a national occasion to demonstrate our pride in the country’s milestones and highlight our shared destiny, said Dr Yousef Mohammed Al Serkal, Director-General of the Emirates Health Services.
The UAE is a constitutional federation of seven emirates. Abu Dhabi city is the capital of the UAE.
The UAE people practically demonstrate what a united and cohesive society means while committing to the values established by our founding fathers.
In addition, it stands out as one of the 10 largest donor states in official development aid.
Senior officials of a number of official entities affirmed: “Flag Day is a national occasion which is dear to everyone’s hearts, in which the our unity, the unity of our goals, and our cohesion to preserve the nation’s achievements and its cultural and humanitarian gains are evident, and in which we also renew our determination to continue the process of work and giving for the sake of the nation’s prosperity and progress, so that the flag of the UAE remains flying high.”
They added that Flag Day has great importance, symbolism, and high status, as it represents strengthening loyalty to the wise leadership and the dear homeland, preserving national gains, and reflecting the spirit of union and feelings of cohesion between the people of the UAE and the wise leadership
