Patrols of the Dubai Police have impounded 24 cars and motorcycles as their drivers involved in performing stunts in Al Ruwayyah area, Dubai.
Despite the warnings issued by Dubai Police to adhere to traffic laws and regulations during rainfall, some motorists paid no attention and performed stunts by their vheicles during a rainy weather, Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, said.
He pointed out that 19 cars and 5 motorcycles were impounded, with issuing 35 tickets over serious violations against the errant drivers, who made stunts, caused chaos, drove recklessly, posed a danger to the public.
The cars and motorcycles were impounded and several tickets were issued, for driving a vehicle in a way that endangers driver’s life and others’ life, safety and security.
Value of releasing the impoundment of each vehicle is Dhs50,000, as per provisions of Decree 30 concerning vehicles impoundment.
