Weather conditions affected some operations at Dubai International Airport (DXB) on Friday, the Dubai Airports reported.
It announced that as of 10:00am UAE time, 13 flights were diverted to neighbouring airports, while 6 departing flights were cancelled.
Dubai Airports also urged passengers to use the Dubai Metro to avoid congestion on the roads, check the condition of the roads and plan additional time to reach Dubai Airport in time.
It said through X platform, “Due to adverse weather conditions causing congested roads, we urge you to use Dubai Metro to get to DXB. For the latest status of your flight, check directly with your airline or visit https://dubaiairports.ae/flight-status.”
Dubai Airports works in collaboration with airlines, control authorities and all strategic partners at Dubai International Airport to ensure that operations run smoothly for the travelling guests.
