UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed on Tuesday participated in the virtual meeting of the BRICS group regarding the Gaza Strip.
During the meeting Sheikh Mohamed stressed that the dangerous situation in the Strip requires joint action to provide protection for civilians.
“At the virtual BRICS summit the UAE reiterated its call for the protection of civilian lives, unrestricted humanitarian access, and an immediate ceasefire,” wrote Sheikh Mohamed on X.
“The international community has a great responsibility to pursue all efforts aimed at ending the conflict and achieving a fair and lasting peace.”
Sheikh Mohamed said on the X platform: “I participated in the virtual meeting of the BRICS group regarding the Gaza Strip. The dangerous situation in the Gaza Strip requires joint action to provide protection for civilians, ensure sustainable and safe corridors for humanitarian aid to reach the population, and an immediate ceasefire.”
Sheikh Mohamed continued: “The current crisis confirms that a just and comprehensive peace is the only way to settle the conflict, and the international community has a great responsibility to create a horizon for this peace.”
