The Dubai Police Shooting Championship, a part of the prestigious Commander-in-Chief’s Shield events, concluded at the Al Ruwayyah shooting range with the participation of more than 140 shooters from various departments and police stations in Dubai.
Brigadier Dr. Ahmad Yousuf Al Mansouri, Deputy Director of the General Department for Community Happiness, witnessed the closing ceremony and emphasised the significant role sports play within the Dubai Police, underscoring the importance of year-round, strategic planning for participation in both local and international tournaments. He commended the level of competition and the results achieved, expressing confidence in the Dubai Police teams’ preparedness for future events.
The winners in various categories were as follows:
Senior Officers Category: Brigadier Obaid Mubarak Bin Yaarouf Al Ketbi achieved first place, followed by Colonel Ahmad Jassim Al Marzooqi and Brigadier Khalfan Obaid Al Jallaf.
Professionals Category: 1st Lieutenant Ahmad Ali Al Balushi claimed the top spot, with Lieutenant Omar Al Harmoodi and Colonel Abdullah Shaiban securing second and third places, respectively.
Officers Category: Captain Maktoum Mohammed Thani emerged as the winner, with 1st Lieutenant Ali Abdullah and 1st Lieutenant Abdulrahman Al Houti finishing in the subsequent positions.
Non-Commissioned Officers Category: 1st Sergeant Fayez Naji Hussein led the group, with 1st Corporal Ibrahim Hassan and 1st Corporal Muammar Ahmed following.
Female Professionals Category:1st Lieutenant Hamda Ahmad Al Balushi, Mariam Mubarak, and Sergeant Ansar Ghulam took the first, second, and third places.
Women’s Category: 1st Corporal Mariam Ibrahim Mohammed won the category, with 1st Corporal Shamsa Salem Al Shamsi and Lieutenant Najla Ibrahim Al Mansouri completing the top three.
The event concluded with Brigadier Dr. Al Mansouri congratulating all the winners and participants, reaffirming Dubai Police’s commitment to nurturing sporting talents and fostering a competitive spirit among its members.
