Emirati man Ahmed Al Menhali found alive after missing for several days in Saudi desert

Emirati man Ahmed Al Menhali who has been missing since Saturday was found alive in desert of Saudi Arabia

The authorities said after extensive searches, the UAE national, Ahmed Al Menhali, who had been missing for three days in Al Rub’ Al Khali desert in Saudi Arabia, was found safe and sound. Al Menhali lost his way after his vehicle ran out of fuel in the desert.”

Dozens of volunteer teams from his family, relatives, tribesmen and Saudi brothers were combing the area to find him. 

FAO, a searching society in Saudi Arabia, which is helping through voluntary efforts to find Al Menhali, stated that it had received a report from the Birin police station on the Emirati.

It said the UAE national, known as Ahmed Mohammed Al Menhali, driving a white Nissan Patrol with an Emirati number plate, went missing. The last coordinate indicated his call was from the Hajra Al Taweelah petrol station, as he was heading to his farm near the Qalamat Faisal area.

Sheikh Khalid Bin Tanaf Al Menhali sponsored the fuel of the volunteers' cars that are taking part in the search operations, in addition to food and other needs in an effort to quickly find him and save his life. These people have vast knowledge of and experience in the desert terrain.

Al Taweelah area of the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia is located in Jafoura on the Batha International Road leading to the United Arab Emirates and is considered the eastern gateway to the “Rub' al Khali”.
