The UAE Digital Government has announced the official holidays for 2024 for the public and private sectors in the country.
According to a post shared by the DGOV, the following is the full list of the official holidays for 2024:
Gregorian New Year: January 1
Eid Al Fitr: Ramadan 29 to Shawwal 3, 1445 H
Arafah Day: Dhul Hijjah 9, 1445 H
Eid Al Adha: Dhul Hijjah 10-12, 1445 H
Hijri New Year: Muharram 1, 1446 H
Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday: Rabi' Al-Awwal 12, 1446
UAE Union Day: December 2-3, 2024
Some of the holidays mentioned in the list are based on the Hijri Islamic calendar. Their corresponding Gregorian dates will depend on moon sighting.
