Various areas of the UAE witnessed more rains of varying intensity and active winds on Sunday, while the Sea of Oman was rough with wave heights reaching seven feet offshore.
Rains fell on Shamal and Wadi Al Beeh in Ras Al Khaimah and on Al Salama in Umm Al Quwain, while moderate to heavy rains fell on Jumeirah, Jebel Ali and Deira in Dubai, Emirates Road, Sharjah Corniche, Sharjah International Airport and separate areas across the country.
The lowest temperature of 9.9˚C was recorded in Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah at 07:45am on Sunday, while the second lowest temperature of 11.8˚C was recorded in Jebel Al Mebrah at 07:45am.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) called on motorists to take caution while driving their vehicles during rainfall and to stay away from large puddles and flooded valleys.

Abu Dhabi Police also called on motorists to be cautious because of the rainy weather conditions and to abide by the varying speed limit as shown on the electronic traffic signs.
According to the NCM, Monday’s weather is expected to be clear in general and partly cloudy, turning to cloudy in the west in the afternoon but will be humid at night and on Tuesday morning in some inland and coastal areas.
Light to moderate northwesterly to southwesterly winds will blow, turning to active at times at 10 to 25 and up to 40 km/h, while the sea will have choppy to moderate waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Tuesday’s weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times in some areas but will be humid at night and on Wednesday morning in some inland and coastal areas.
Light to moderate northwesterly to northeasterly winds will blow, turning to southeasterly, while the sea will have regular waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Wednesday’s weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times in some areas, while light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds will blow and the sea will have regular waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Thursday’s weather is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy at times in some coastal and northern areas and the islands with a chance of rains. Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds will blow, turning to active and sand-stirring at times, especially offshore, at 15 to 25 and up to 40 km/h, while the sea will have regular to moderate waves but may become rough in the evening in the Arabian Gulf, compared to regular waves in the Sea of Oman.
