Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and president of the University of Sharjah, was pleased with the efforts of the Emirati faculties at the University of Sharjah, during his meeting with them.
He hailed the university's administration's efforts to achieve one of the university's goals, which is 25% nationalisation of the teaching staff by 2025.
The university managed to increase the percentage of Emiratisation in the teaching staff, reaching 65 professors.
Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed pointed out that the selection of faculty is quality-based, taking into consideration the academic background and experience, a move that will elevate the university's position among others. He stressed that periodic meetings with teaching or administrative staff are merely steps to improve the work style and academic curricula, affecting the education level.
The president recommended paying close attention to students, as they are the essential element in education, in addition to applying modern teaching methods, which contribute to developing and absorbing the abilities and potentials of students.
Dr. Hamid Majoul Al Nuaimi, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, praised the efforts of the national faculty and their dedication to their work.
The Chancellor concluded by considering the national faculties at the University of Sharjah as a living model for those who share the same profession.
