Al Ain Court of First Instance obligated a person to pay Dhs25,000 in compensation to another whom he insulted with obscene words and beat him, for which he was convicted with a criminal ruling.
The details date back to the time when a person filed a lawsuit against another in which he requested that he be obligated to pay him Dhs100,000 in compensation for the damages he incurred, a 5% interest annually from the date of filing the lawsuit until full payment, the fees and expenses of the lawsuit and the lawyer’s fees, adding that the appellee had cursed and beat him, which caused him psychological and material damages.
The court explained that the criminal ruling convicted the appellee of assaulting the plaintiff and insulting him, which caused him material and moral damages requiring material and moral compensation.
It then estimated the compensation at Dhs25,000 for all damages.
