Under Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Tuesday, February 13, 2024 will be a remote working day for employees of all Dubai government entities, due to weather conditions. This applies to all government employees in Dubai, except for roles that need on-site presence at the workplace.
Heavy rain accompanied by lightning, thunder and hail fell on separate areas across the country on Monday.
According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), the unstable weather conditions will end on Tuesday afternoon, as clouds will continue to form in the morning in the eastern and northern areas of the country.
The highest amount of rain of 163 mm fell near the United Arab Emirates University Al Ain City, which also witnessed the highest amount of hail in the country.
The lowest temperature of 7.6 degrees Celsius was recorded in Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah, while the second lowest temperature of 9.3 degrees Celsius was recorded in Jebel Al Mebrah.
