The Federal Authority for Identity, Nationalization, Customs, and Port Security (ICP) announced that from Monday, February 19, applicants for issuing or renewing residency visas can electronically upload health insurance documents, according to Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director General of the ICP.
Al Khaili added that the new project comes within the framework of the ICP’s plan to eliminate government bureaucracy for the services provided, in response to the directives of the wise leadership and in fulfillment of the requirements of the Emirates Programme for Excellence in Government Services.
He pointed out that the project also aimed to provide a decent life and raise the level of health well-being for all residents of the country and preserve their health rights, explaining that it includes health insurance data issued electronically by accredited health insurance companies in the UAE, directly through electronic linking with those companies, without the need for the applicant to download the health insurance policy.
Al Khaili also explained that the project would contribute to shortening the time of service provision and ensuring the health rights of residents, which would ensure improving the quality of life of all residents and their families.
