An autistic teen, who had reportedly gone missing from Sharjah on Saturday night, was found at Dubai International Airport late night on Sunday, the authorities said.
The 18-year-old Indian national Felix Jeby was finally reunited with his parents late on Sunday.
The authorities said that a passenger found the boy at the airport.
Thomas Jeby, the father of the teen said Fekix was taken to the Kuwait Hospital in Sharjah for necessary examination.
On Sunday afternoon, the authorities associated with the case said that Sharjah Police are looking for him. The family reported that Felix was last seen on Saturday behind Sharjah City Centre at 8:45pm, wearing a green pullover, green shorts, and a red t-shirt.
Felix’s mother confirmed that the boy is back with his parents. He was in hospital for observation. He was discharged after completing the procedures.
The authorities have urged parents and members of the community to keep an eye on their children and whereabouts to avoid unwanted situations.
He added they were very worried about Felix because he is autistic, appealing to any one to contact them in case they had information about him. It is worth mentioning that Felix’s family resided in Al Bateena area, where they had been searching for Felix, beside searching the area near City Centre but in vain.
Social media users played a key role in spreading the information about Felix.

Eapen Thomas said, “Sharjah Police is looking for an 18-year-old boy with autism who has been reported missing by his parents. On Saturday, Felix Jeby was last seen behind City Centre Sharjah at 8:45pm. He was wearing a green pullover, green shorts, and a red t-shirt.”
