A food delivery driver was awarded by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) chief for fixing a traffic signal in the emirate.
The RTA wrote on X, “Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General, Chairman of the Board of Directors of RTA, honoured Mr Zeeshan Ahmad Irshad Ahmad, a delivery driver, for his proactive effort in repairing the traffic signal on Al Wasl Street.”
A video was posted on social media of Zeeshan fixing a broken traffic signal at the junction of Al Wasl Street in Dubai.
It appeared that a part of the traffic signal structure collapsed which prompted Zeeshan to rush to scene.
He was waiting at the signal when the incident took place.
