This annually funded scholarship is open for application until April 30, 2024. It offers Grade 12/Year 13 students and undergraduates aged 24 and under an excellent opportunity to pursue their academic goals while also aiming to contribute to key industries.
Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge’s (ADEK) Scholarship programme is more than just financial assistance; it provides a road to specialized education at world-class universities. It provides students with a wide range of academic opportunities to follow their interests and create bright futures, with 90 majors in prestigious and creative subjects.
The Abu Dhabi Scholarships Programme stands out for its strong student assistance structure. With a focus on student achievement, recipients have access to mentorship, internships, and job placement opportunities supported by ADEK advisers and industry partners. Extra benefits like health insurance, housing stipends, travel assistance, book allowances, and performance bonuses enhance the whole student experience and set them up for success both academically and professionally after graduation.
The programme aims to enhance the academic capabilities of students across various disciplines, from arts to sciences, engineering to health, to empower Emirati scholars to be the architects of innovation and contribute to the growth of Abu Dhabi’s knowledge-based economy.
Eligibility for Abu Dhabi Scholarships is tailored to ensure the selection of promising candidates. Grade 12 / Year 13 students aiming for Elite majors must demonstrate an average of 90% or higher in Term 1 of their current grade, following with an average of 85% or higher in Grade 11 / Year 12.
Meanwhile, students with a passion for Creative majors must exhibit a final average of 85% in Grade 12 / Year 13, supplemented by the submission of a comprehensive portfolio and two letters of recommendation. Additionally, all applicants must meet a minimum score of 6.0 in IELTS or 60 in TOEFL iBT, alongside securing an unconditional offer from one of ADEK's esteemed top 150 universities.
Students under the age of 24, pursuing an approved major at these recognized institutions, can apply for this program if they have the required GPA, credit hours, and language proficiency criteria. Exceptionally, those admitted to one of the top 20 universities enjoy a fast-track scholarship option, bypassing the standard application process for immediate consideration.
