Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai on Monday announced the launch of a new initiative under the title 'Imam Al Farij,' after Muezzin Al Freej campaign proved to be a success.
Sheikh Hamdan said on “X” platform that the goal of the initiative is to instil Islamic and Emirati values in the young and strengthens connections between families and mosques.
"There were fine echoes in our society about the initiative our society of the “Muezzin Al Freej” initiative which encourages children to adhere to our identity and values. It has attracted more than 311 community members in 51 neighbourhoods of Dubai. We also instructed to extend the initiative to include the “Imam of Al Freej” and grant “Eidiya” for all participants," said Sheikh Hamdan.
It will also help promote religious values and prepare a generation capable of serving society efficiently and responsibly, according to Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, director general of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD).
Al Muhairi affirmed that the initiative would contribute to connecting the younger generation with Islamic culture by charting a clear path that seeks to instil societal and faith values.
How children can sign up for the initiative will be reportedly announced soon.
