Search efforts culminated in finding the young Emirati Zayed Ahmed Zayed Al Mansouri, 31, who had disappeared in the desert of Al Rub’ Al Khali in Saudi Arabia since last Tuesday. Cameras at a petrol station recorded his presence in his white Land Cruiser at 1pm.
The missing Emirati was found in Be’r Faisal area by a member of the search teams that launched an intense effort to find him amid Emirati-Saudi co-operation and support from some philanthropists who covered the search expenses.
Earlier, the Saudi Aoun Society for Search and Rescue had indicated that it had received a report stating that Al Mansouri went missing while he went to inspect his father’s camels in the Rub’ Al Khali.
Convoys of cars driven by volunteers from tribesmen set off to comb the area where the missing Emirati disappeared, while his uncle submitted an official report to this effect to the Saudi authorities.
The Aflaj Rescue Association in Saudi Arabia also previously indicated its participation in the search work after a report to this effect was circulated to its members. The owners of gliders were asked to comb the locations where he would be expected to be found.
