Dibba Al Fujairah Municipality confiscated about a tonne of prohibited materials, as part of an inspection campaign carried out in cooperation with Dibba Police, targeting commercial stores and workers’ accommodations in the city.
The seized and confiscated materials included five types of alcoholic substances distributed without a permit from the municipality and in unauthorized places, medications that had been poorly stored, cigarettes without a tax stamp, fireworks, soap, Naswar, chemicals, and others.
Engineer Hassan Salem Al Yamahi, Director General of the Municipality, said that the campaigns come within the framework of the municipality’s strategic plan, and are an extension of previous campaigns implemented by the municipality aimed at eliminating wrong behaviours, combating negative phenomena which are harmful to public health and environmental safety, and improving the level of public cleanliness.
