Students of Rashid Centre for People of Determination have showed great admiration and appreciated the efforts of a private firm which recently established a fully furnished classroom at the centre as a gift.
The classroom was inaugurated in a ceremony held at the Centre and attended by Gediminas Žiemelis, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Avia Solutions Group (ASG), along with Arif Alameri, Linas Dovydenas and other directors from the ASG.
The ASG delegation was received by Mariam Othman, Director Rashid Centre and lauded the kind gesture of opening a new classroom for children named after Avia Solutions Group. “Rashid Centre for People of Determination is grateful to the kindness of corporate sector that always comes forward and expresses their love and admiration towards the people of determination and helps in its own way to ease the process of education, rehabilitation and training for these students being provided by professional teams at the centre,” she said.
She accompanied the ASG team at the tour of the various sections of the centre and was briefed on the different educational and rehabilitation programmes for the students of determination belonging to different age groups and nationalities.
During the tour, the guests not only met different groups of students and interacted with them but also engaged in different activities with them like dancing, arts and crafts and expressed appreciation and lauded them for learning new skills.
Furthermore, a two-day festival was held at the Rashid Centre and was attended by a large number of families of students as well as supporters to show their commitment towards the cause of people of determination.
The festival also witnessed the presence of scores of Emirati entrepreneurs who present their products including edible items, beauty products, arts and crafts as well as fashion products like Emirati and party dresses, ethnical jewellery items and home decorations.
