A delegation from Sharjah Charity International (SCI) recently concluded a visit to Bangladesh, where they inaugurated the Sharjah Village in Faridpur.
This Dhs1.4 million project provides crucial support to the community.
The village includes homes for the underprivileged, a mosque, a school, a medical clinic and a vocational training centre.
The delegation's mission focused on overseeing various charitable initiatives, including project openings, food distributions, and medical care programmes.
Ali Mohammed Al Rashidi, Head of the Resources and Investment Sector at SCI, emphasised the importance of the "Sharjah Relief Programme," which facilitated 200 eye surgeries at Al-Rih Al-Mursalah clinic and sponsored paediatric heart catheterisations led by Dr. Ahmed Al Kamali from Al Qassimi hospital.
The delegation distributed over 1,000 food parcels and organised a group wedding for 50 young people. Additionally, they inspected ongoing projects for quality assurance and visited sponsored orphans.
