Sharjah announced on Saturday reduction in the speed limit of key roads in the emirates.
Taking to its social media X account, the Sharjah Roads Transportation Authority, in coordination with the General Command of Sharjah Police, announced the reduction of the speed limit on Al Ittihad Road and Al Wahda Road from 100km/h to 80km/h.
According to the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, the speed limit reduction applied from Abu Shaghara interchange on Al Wahda Road to Al Taawun Bridge on Al Ittihad Road.
The decision to reduce the speed limit, has been implemented to “ensure smooth traffic flow on the roads,” the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority posted on X.
