This year, the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) implemented its sacrificial meat campaign across the UAE and in 53 countries worldwide.
More than 100,000 individuals benefited from the project within the UAE, while an additional 400,000 people across four continents received support. The Eid clothing programme also reached 27,700 beneficiaries outside the UAE.
To address food shortages and rising prices, the ERC broadened the scope of its sacrificial meat campaign. Starting on the first day of Eid Al Adha, sacrificial animals were slaughtered and distributed through the ERC's foreign offices and UAE embassies, in collaboration with various charitable societies and humanitarian organisations.
The Emirates Red Crescent aimed to extend the reach of the sacrificial meat campaign this year, striving to include the largest possible number of vulnerable segments and needy families worldwide. Efforts were intensified to increase the project’s budget to ensure that these groups received their shares of sacrificial meat.
Annually, the ERC carries out the sacrificial meat campaigns internationally, as part of its strategy to foster cooperation and generosity with all friendly and fraternal nations.
This year, ERC's sacrificial meat campaign encompassed 53 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, and South America.
