The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (ICP) has set 4 conditions for granting the Green Residence Visa to skilled workers.
ICP clarified that the conditions for obtaining the Green Residence Visa for skilled workers include having a valid work permit inside the UAE and an active employment contract.
The worker must be belonging to the first, second, or third skilled labour category according to the occupational classification adopted by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE).
Also, to get the Green Visa, the worker must have a bachelor's degree or its equivalent, and finally, he must be getting a monthly salary of not be less than Dhs15,000 or its equivalent in other foreign currencies.
Green Residence Visa provides 5 benefits to expatriates, including the right to sponsor family members, according the ICP.
The Green Residence Visa allows its holder residing in the UAE to sponsor his family (spouses and children), with the new update related to raising the age of children allowed to be sponsored to 25 years, instead of 18 years.
It also allows to sponsor the unmarried daughters and children of determination, regardless of age.
The Green visa also allows the expatriate to sponsor first-degree relatives, and the duration of the family's residence will be the same as that of the sponsor.
