In implementation of the directives of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to provide seats to all new children registered in Sharjah nurseries, the Sharjah Education Academy (SEA) has enrolled 2,561 children during the upcoming academic year 2024-2025, up by 23 per cent over the 1,979 children enrolled last year.
This was announced by Mariam Al Shamsi, Director of Early Childhood Department at SEA, via the Direct Line programme with Mohammed Khalaf, Director General of Sharjah Broadcasting Authority.
The first phase of admission includes 2,114 children of working mothers and those who meet the admission requirements from the age of 3 months to kindergarten, Al Shamsi said, adding that seats are being allocated and announced.
The second phase, in which some 447 children will be received, will be on Sept.30, 2024, following the expansion of existing nurseries, she added.
