Various areas along the eastern coastline of the country experienced light precipitation on Sunday morning. This was caused by the propagation of a shallow air depression from the east and an air mass from the west, accompanied by an air mass in the upper atmosphere, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) reported.
The lowest temperature recorded in the country on Sunday morning was 26.1°C in Jabal Al Hibn in Ras Al Khaimah at 07:15 am, the NCM added.
The NCM has forecast that the prevailing weather conditions will be partially cloudy and occasionally dusty, with the potential for the formation of cumulus clouds and the onset of precipitation from Monday until next Thursday.
In a detailed report on the weather conditions during the next days, the NCM has expected that the weather on Monday will be cloudy in general, with the potential for the formation of cumulus clouds in the eastern and southern areas, with a possibility of precipitation. Winds will be northwesterly to southeasterly, with speeds ranging from light to moderate. They will be occasionally active, stirring dust with speeds of 15 to 25 km/h, and occasional gusts reaching up to 40 km/h.
The sea will be light to moderate, with occasional fluctuations in the western Arabian Gulf and medium to occasionally rough in the Sea of Oman.
The Tuesday’s weather is expected to be cloudy, with occasional dust storms, and the potential for precipitation in some areas, particularly in the eastern and southern areas. Additionally, a decline in temperatures is anticipated, accompanied by southeasterly to northwesterly winds, ranging from light to moderate in speed and occasionally active, which may stir dust. The sea is expected to be light to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
