A meeting of the Joint Assessment Team for Weather and Tropical Cases (JAT) was convened by the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NECMA) for the purpose of discussing and following up on the developments of the current tropical situation in the Arabian Sea.
The meeting concentrated on the analysis of preliminary data and readings pertaining to the tropical state, which indicate that the anticipated impact on the country will be indirect, with sea turbulence and water extension expected in some coastal areas, without any indications that may affect the country's regions.
As part of the proactive actions, the team discussed potential strategies for enhancing preparedness to address any developments that may arise from this tropical state. This involved intensifying monitoring of the situation's movement and trends, with the aim of ensuring the activation of business continuity plans if necessary, and directing safety instructions to the public through official channels and sources in the UAE.
These movements represent ongoing efforts to enhance national preparedness and readiness to deal with various weather conditions and ensure the safety of the population and infrastructure across the country.
Furthermore, the team urged the public to refrain from disseminating misinformation and instead seek information, guidance, and updates from official sources within the country.
