Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, on Tuesday witnessed the signing of an agreement between the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives and the Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation, under which the UAE will provide Dhs220 million worth of additional support to the foundation.
The initiative is aimed at supporting the foundation’s expansion plans and enhancing its capacity and efficiency, the agreement expands the support provided by the the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives to Dhs320 million.
The Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation is led by Sir Magdi Yacoub, a globally renowned philanthropist and heart surgeon, the foundation’s new hospital project in Cairo will provide care to 130,000 patients each year.
“Today, I witnessed the signing of an agreement between the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives and the Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation, under which the UAE will provide Dhs220 million worth of additional support to the foundation. Aimed at supporting the foundation’s expansion plans and enhancing its capacity and efficiency, the agreement expands the support provided by @MBRInitiatives to Dhs320 million,” said Sheikh Hamdan on X.
“Led by Sir Magdi Yacoub, a globally renowned philanthropist and heart surgeon, the foundation’s new hospital project in Cairo will provide care to 130,000 patients each year. The UAE's support is aligned with @HHShkMohd 's humanitarian mission to spread hope and provide healing to people in need,” Sheikh Hamdan concluded.
