In response to the ongoing regional developments, Etihad Airways and flydubai have announced the cancellation of flights to and from Beirut until Oct.3, 2024 and Oct.7, 2024 respectively.
According to an Etihad Airways spokesperson the Etihad Airways flights affected are EY535, departing Abu Dhabi for Beirut, and EY538, departing Beirut for Abu Dhabi, between the dates of Sept.29 and Oct.3, 2024.
"Passengers who are transiting through Abu Dhabi with a final destination of Beirut will not be permitted to travel from their point of origin unless they make their own travel arrangements from Abu Dhabi," he stated.
"Affected customers are advised to contact their booking agents for alternative travel options. Furthermore, customers are asked to ensure that their contact details are correct by visiting the Private Booking Department to receive updates."
Etihad Airways is closely monitoring the situation across the region and maintaining close liaison with the relevant authorities.
Meanwhile, a representative of flydubai airline stated that due to the ongoing developments, flydubai has also extended the cancellation of its flights between Dubai International Airport and Beirut International Airport until Oct.7, 2024.
"We maintain close observation of the circumstances and implement adjustments to our flight schedule as necessary," flydubai representative said.
Furthermore, the spokesperson stated that passengers with existing bookings will be contacted regarding rebooking or refund options. It is recommended that passengers contact the flydubai Contact Centre in Dubai, the flydubai Travel Store, or their respective travel agent to ascertain the available rebooking or refund options.
