The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has reported that the UAE would be affected by inclement weather conditions from Oct.6 to Oct.9, 2024, accompanied by the formation of cumulus clouds in some eastern and northern regions, which may extend to some southern regions with rains.
The NCM explained that the country would be influenced by the extension of a surface low-pressure system and an upper-level low-pressure system from the south, as well as another upper-level low-pressure system from the north, accompanied by a relatively cold air mass in the upper atmospheric layers.
This will result in the formation of local cumulus clouds in some eastern and northern regions, which may extend to some southern regions, accompanied by rains.
According to the NCM, it is expected that local cumulus clouds will form in the east on Sunday, which may be accompanied by rains, adding that from Monday to Wednesday, some local cumulus clouds will form in the eastern and northern regions, which may extend to some southern regions, accompanied by light to moderate rains, and sometimes heavy rains, with lightning and thunder.
Winds, according to the NCM, will be southeasterly to northeasterly, turning to northwesterly, light to moderate, and sometimes active to strong, stirring up dust and reducing visibility.
The sea will be calm to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman, NCM indicated.
