Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority honoured the paramedic, Rabea Farouq Masarwah, in recognition of his heroic response to an emergency call from a mother who called the ambulance to save her one-year-old daughter after her heart stopped beating.
Masarweh provided accurate instructions to the mother on how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation on her daughter. He reportedly remained on the phone to reassure her until the ambulance arrived and transported the child to the hospital for necessary treatment.
During the ceremony, Brigadier Mohsen Saeed Al Mansouri, Director of the Emergency and Public Safety Sector, praised Masarwah's efforts and the high level of efficiency and professionalism he demonstrated.
Al Mansouri emphasised that Masarwah embodies the noble humanitarian values that the ambulance teams of the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority adopt.
Al Mansouri added that such situations reflect the high level of proficiency in providing primary healthcare and the complete readiness for rapid response to emergency cases, which directly contributes to reducing potential complications and saving lives.
