Mariam Al Hammadi, Director of The Big Heart Foundation, said that the campaign’s objectives reflected the values of human solidarity that forms an integral aspect of the Emirati society in all its diversity.
She underscored the principles of fraternity that the UAE, its leadership, government and people, are committed to.
She pointed out that the Big Heart Foundation embraced those values and principles as building blocks in its humanitarian and charitable work.
These values and principles help in achieving stability and security in societies facing disasters and crises, she stressed.
Abdullah bin Khadem, Executive Director of the Sharjah Charity Association, said that the many charitable activities undertaken by the UAE for people in crisis were part of a historical chain of mobilisations to provide relief to people in misery across the globe.
‘The UAE stands with Lebanon’ campaign is part of that historical chain which reflects the UAE leadership’s profound concern for societies suffering hardships and desire to ameliorate their plight, he added.
