Abu Dhabi Family, Civil and Administrative Cases Court ordered a person to pay Dhs20,000 to another, as he premeditatedly damaged the latter's phone and punched him in the face, causing him injuries.
In the details, a person filed a lawsuit against another, demanding that the latter pay Dhs4,599 for the value of his phone, which was premeditatedly damaged and rendered unusable.
He also demanded Dhs20,000 in compensation for the material and moral damages he incurred due to the assault, as well as for the injuries which prevented him from working for twenty days.
The plaintiff stated that the court had convicted the appellee of assaulting him and fined him Dhs5,000. The appellee was also fined Dhs1,000 for damaging the phone but the plaintiff was not satisfied with the ruling, so he filed the lawsuit.
The court ordered the appellee to pay Dhs20,000 in compensation to the plaintiff for all the material and moral damages he incurred.
