Dubai Civil Defence teams brought under control a fire that broke out in a building in the Al Barsha 1 area in the early hours of Tuesday. No injuries were reported.
According to the Civil Defence media spokesman, the General Directorate of Civil Defence in Dubai received a report at 3:44am on Tuesday stating that a fire had erupted in a building. Teams from Al Barsha Fire Station rushed to the scene of the incident and arrived there within seven minutes to find that the fire had broken out in the back facade of the building. The teams later called for reinforcements from the Marsa Fire Station, he said.
He explained that the work teams were able to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to other buildings until the blaze was brought under control within two hours. The site was then cooled and handed over to the competent authorities to ascertain the cause.
