The General Command of Dubai Police, in partnership with e& UAE, has launched a Smart Home Security System, which was announced during Gitex Global.
The system enhances the security of homes and properties through motion sensors which detect any unusual movements immediately and in real-time.
The advanced motion detectors of the system can differentiate between everyday activities and potential threats, while door/window sensors which will be discreetly installed at entry points will detect any unauthorised openings, immediately sending an alert to a 24|7 monitoring centre.
There is also a touch screen hub which will act as the central control unit for the security system and will allow home and property owners to manage all connected devices.
In addition to the motion sensors, the new system includes surveillance cameras to provide an extra layer of security by capturing visual data and allow remote monitoring.
Furthermore, the System provides the ability to connect directly to specialised operations rooms, allowing for immediate security measures to be taken to verify the source of any unusual movements.
It is also linked to a mobile application on the client mobile phone, through which he receives notifications in case any movement is detected by the sensors.
The launch of the new system was witnessed by Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, Masoud Mohammed Sharif Mahmoud, CEO of e& UAE, Omar Hamad Bushahab, Executive Director of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Foundation, Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs at Dubai Police, Major General Khalid Nasser Al Razooqi, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Department, Brigadier General Harb Al Shamsi, Director of the CID, and a number of directors of general departments and police stations.
