Emirates has declared the suspension of its flight operations to and from Baghdad and Iran (Tehran) until October 23, 2024. Passengers who are transiting through Dubai en route to their final destinations in Baghdad and Iran (Tehran) will not be permitted to fly from their point of departure until October 23, 2024.
The airline indicated that it plans to resume flights to Basra on October 17. It has been announced that customers intending to transit through Dubai to their final destination of Basra will not be permitted to travel at their point of departure before this date.
The airline has stated that its scheduled flights to and from Beirut will remain canceled until October 31, 2024. It was announced that customers intending to transit through Dubai en route to their final destination of Beirut will not be permitted to travel from their point of departure until further notice.
Furthermore, the airline stated that those affected by this situation are advised to contact their travel agents for alternative travel options or to contact the airline directly if they have booked with Emirates. It is recommended that customers verify the accuracy of their contact information by accessing their reservation management portal to receive updates.
It added, “We remain in close communication with the relevant authorities to monitor the situation in the region and to receive updates on developments.”
