The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) stated that satellite images indicate that there is a low-pressure system in the Arabian Sea along the coast of the Sultanate of Oman, accompanied by varying clouds and rainfall.
The images also show that some mid-level clouds have advanced towards the eastern regions of the UAE, bringing with them light rainfall.
The NCM added that it is expected that the clouds will gradually move towards different areas of the UAE over the next two days (Thursday and Friday), starting in the east and extending to some inland and western regions.
These clouds will be accompanied by light to moderate rains, with heavy rainfall at times in some of those areas, NCM added.
Thursday's weather, according to the NCM, will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with some cumulus clouds over some eastern regions which will extend to some western regions, accompanied by rain.
NCM added that winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate, and sometimes active to strong, with the formation of dust clouds which may reduce horizontal visibility.
Winds speed will range from 15 to 30 kilometres/h, amounting to 50 kilometres/h and the sea will be calm to moderate at times in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, NCM reported.
The NCM indicates that Friday's weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with some cumulus clouds over some eastern regions which will extend to some western regions, accompanied by rains. Winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate, and sometimes active to strong, with the formation of dust clouds which may reduce horizontal visibility. The winds speed will range from 15 to 30 kilometres/h, amounting to 50 kilometres/h.
The sea will be calm to moderate at times in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, NCM added.
Saturday's weather is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, NCM reported, adding that winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate, and their speed will range from 10 to 25 kilometres/h, amounting to 35 kilometres/h and the sea will be calm in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
The NCM reported that Sunday's weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times and humid at night and on Monday morning, with a possibility of fog or light fog formation in some coastal and inland areas.
Winds, according to the NCM will be southeasterly, turning to northwesterly, light to moderate in speed, and sometimes active, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25 kilometres/h, amounting to 35 kilometres/h. The sea will be calm in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
NCM recorded the lowest temperature in the United Arab Emirates this morning, with a reading of 15.6°C in Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah at 03:30 local time of the UAE. It reported that the second lowest temperature, 17.5°C, was recorded at 12.15 in Jabal Al Mebraḥ in Fujairah. Jabal Rahabah in RAK recorded the third lowest temperature, 18,4°C, at 3 in the morning, while Rakna in Al Ain recorded the fourth lowest temperature, 20,3°C at 6.30 in the morning.
