His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, urged individuals to consistently remember and glorify God Almighty.
His Highness highlighted the importance of incorporating this practice into daily life, sharing that he often expresses his faith in his poetry, starting with verses like "Glory be to He who raised the sky without pillars."
During a phone intervention via the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority’s "Direct Line" programme, with Mohammed Hassan Khalaf, Director General of the Authority, His Highness remarked, "I have recited a poem beginning with, 'Glory be to He who raised the sky without pillars,' and repeating such words offers meaningful benefits to people."
His Highness reiterated the value of these words in fostering a spiritual connection. His Highness said:
Exalted is He who without columns the sky raised
From compacted clay man made
From His Divine Spirit into him breathed
True knowledge and reason to guide
For him angels in prostration knelt
Except the cursed devil, the commands disobeyed
O creature! what seduced you from your Lord
Graced you with mind, in due proportion He fashioned
You forsook the Right Path, Satan you followed
Who with security and eternity falsely promised
Descend to Earth and there be
Of rule, or vile and misfortune
If sublime, with soul in Paradise you rest
And, if lowly with it, in lowest hell is your seat
Mind against loss of self is a defender
When with triviality the self, merry in abuse
But my people, amidst this, were away
From life, with poetry engaged
Ignorance so deeply intensified/increased
Like nerves to body intimate
The Prophet with the Quran is a guide
Some believers, others apostate
The best of nations then emerged
For guidance and providence people called
But ignorance of today is unlike
That of many ages passed
Now all abjectness we perpetrate
To Muhammad ill deeds we attribute
Now, one another we futilely kill
For no reason or good intent
Now, so widely the door we open
For whoever to Islam aggress
Now, homes with inhabitants we demolish
Residents either martyrs of homeless
Life for our state severely cry
At misery of our state we rejoice
O Ummah of Islam to whom refuge I seek
Except to God, Who in every prayer I call
Peace be upon homes and inhabitants
From the Lord of Universe, The One, The Absolute
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah concluded by wishing goodness and prosperity to the Arab and Islamic nations.
