Dubai: The Dubai Police have honoured Hamada Abu Zeid, an Egyptian taxi driver employed by the Dubai Taxi Corporation, in recognition of his exemplary honesty. Abu Zeid's actions are noteworthy for their exceptional character, as he returned items of considerable value, amounting to Dhs1 million, which he discovered in his taxi.
Brigadier Majid Al Suwaidi, Director of Al Barsha Police Station, bestowed the recognition in the presence of Colonel Youssef Thani Bin Qabaa Al Muhairi, Deputy Director of the station; Colonel Mostafa Mohamed Abdullah, Head of the Traffic Registration Department and other officers.
Al Suwaidi lauded Abu Zeid for exemplifying the laudable values of integrity and responsibility, which Dubai Police endeavour to advance within the community. He also noted that such acts of rectitude assist Dubai Police in attaining their strategic objectives by cultivating public collaboration.
In the course of the ceremony, Al Suwaidi presented Abu Zeid with a certificate of appreciation, underscoring the significance of community collaboration in bolstering security and reinforcing positive values throughout society. He commended the instrumental role that individuals like Abu Zeid play in bolstering the country's reputation by providing invaluable assistance to law enforcement entities.
Hamada Abu Zeid expressed gratitude for the recognition, noting that it was his obligation to return the valuables to the police to facilitate their safe return to the rightful owner.
