On Wednesday afternoon, meteorologists observed a rare meteorological phenomenon in some parts of the UAE. A funnel cyclone formed in the Khudaira area of Sharjah and Keda in Ras Al Khaimah, coinciding with a period of fluctuating weather conditions across the UAE.
On Tuesday, the National Center for Meteorology (NCM) issued a report indicating that the country is currently experiencing a three-day weather condition, spanning from Wednesday to Friday.
This weather condition is characterized by the formation of cumulus clouds in select regions, particularly in the eastern and western areas, accompanied by varying degrees of precipitation, ranging from light to moderate and occasionally heavy.
The NCM indicated that Wednesday's weather conditions presented an opportunity for the formation of cumulus clouds in the eastern and northern regions, accompanied by precipitation throughout the day.
Furthermore, the NCM noted that on Thursday and Friday, a humid air mass will advance from the Arabian Sea towards the country.
This will coincide with the extension of a weak air depression in the upper atmosphere, accompanied by a relatively cold air mass. This will lead to the formation of some cumulus clouds in separate areas, especially eastern and western, with the chance of rain.
