In response to airspace restrictions in parts of the Middle East, Etihad Airways is rerouting a number of flights on Saturday, October 26, according to a spokesperson for the airline.
“This is an emergency situation, and the airline is continuously monitoring updates regarding security and airspace. It is probable that this will result in some disruption and delays to a number of flights over the next 48 hours," the spokesperson stated.
“It is recommended that customers verify the status of their flights at etihad.com. Etihad Airways flights are only operated within the parameters of approved airspace. The safety of our passengers and crew is of paramount importance, and we will never undertake a flight unless it is deemed safe to do so,” he added.
