The Dubai Police have honoured an Indian resident, Swadesh Kumar, in recognition of his exemplary honesty, exemplified by his decision to return a sum of Dhs100,000 that he had found in the Al Barsha area.
Brigadier Majid Al Suwaidi, Director of Al Barsha Police Station, presented the recognition in the presence of Colonel Mostafa Mohamed Abdullah, Head of the Traffic Registration Section, Lt. Col. Yasser Al Hashemi, Head of the Criminal Records Section, and other officers.
Brigadier Al Suwaidi lauded Kumar for exemplifying the values of integrity and responsibility, which Dubai Police strive to instil within the community. He underscored that such acts of rectitude assist Dubai Police in attaining their strategic objectives by cultivating public collaboration.
In the course of the ceremony, Brigadier Al Suwaidi presented Kumar with a certificate of appreciation, underscoring the significance of community collaboration in bolstering security and reinforcing positive values throughout society. He commended the active role that individuals like Kumar play in bolstering the country's reputation by providing assistance to law enforcement entities.
Kumar expressed his gratitude for the recognition, stating that it was his obligation to return the valuables to the Al Barsha Police Station in order to facilitate their safe return to the rightful owner.
